It’s important to remember that 3D-printed parts are made of plastic, and very small volumetric differences can occur during printing. Differences in filament production (brand, type, etc.) also have an effect. Generally, you can correct these negative results with slicer settings.
If you experience problems with mechanical parts that need to work together smoothly and seamlessly, you can try the following solutions:
“Flow rate” and “nozzle temperature” have a direct impact. High temperatures can cause the part to expand more volumetrically. Similarly, the flow rate has a similar effect. Reducing the temperature and flow rate slightly will help improve part compatibility.
On the other hand, reducing the printing speed can, under certain conditions, improve the dimensional accuracy of the part.
