In the test from the previous video, a thrust value of approximately 110 grams was achieved; I had performed that measurement using the motor’s built-in (internal) ESC. Two suggestions regarding ways to increase thrust caught my attention in the comments.
The first was that I could achieve better performance by using an external ESC. The second was to add an air intake funnel (bell-mouth) to the EDF housing.
Now, in this second video, I have tested both of these suggestions. I also added a thrust tube and observed its effect on performance. You can see the results of the tests below.
The bell-mouth allows air to enter the EDF from the outside more smoothly and with less turbulence.
According to the test results, it resulted in a 1% increase in thrust.
